My name is Taeya! I'm a connection focussed photographer based in the Fraser Valley who is happy to travel worldwide capturing your memories! My services mainly centre around Weddings & Elopements, Empowerment Boudoir, Couples, and Branding. I have been fortunate enough to celebrate so many beautiful everyday moments as well as huge milestones with some of my clients and it has made me feel so incredibly grateful and connected. In 2021 I really began to narrow down my focus in photography, towards weddings & elopements, empowerment boudoir, and branding. I now only take on a very limited number of new clients for Maternity, Newborn or Family sessions if the concept fits with the following Lifetime Memory Concepts (previous clients are privy to these sessions without such limitations). Bare Belly Maternity Sessions, Breast Feeding Sessions or Documentary Family Sessions.

1. Bare Belly Maternity
These are essentially boudoir maternity sessions. So wearing lingerie, comfy underwear sets, robes, tie up dresses or au-natural. Anything that shows the belly and feels more intimate and empowering than the traditional maternity session with the bold & dramatic dresses. These can also include your partner!
2. Breast Feeding Newborn
This looks pretty much how it sounds. The session can be just momma and baby or it can be the whole family with momma while she breast feeds. These sessions are very relaxed and are about relishing in those intimate, natural newborn moments. These are best held in-home.
3. Documentary Family
I’m all about celebrating the real and raw moments. These sessions focus more on your normal, everyday life. Whether that be playing board games at home then having a movie night, or baking together in the kitchen as a family, or even going bowling and getting ice cream cones. Let's document the every-day that connects you.

1. An Introductory Chat
We always start by just talking about what you're looking for. Which services you need, which package will fit best for you based on your needs, what the vision is for our time together, what is most important to you and any other important details specific to your booking.
2. Lock it in
Once all the details have been discussed, I send out an invoice and contract for your approval. Once approved, your date will officially be reserved for you and I will not take on any other bookings for that date. Payment plans will be made available and discussed at the time of booking.
3. Constant Communication
Between the date of locking it in and the contracted date I promise to continue to communicate with you and not just leave you hanging - I know how much that sucks! I will send you resources and prep materials, emails with reminders and follow ups, I even love to interact with you on Instagram if you let me!

Fraser Valley Connection Photographer
My work is often described as dark and moody. I like to bring out warm brown undertones with cool highlights to produce thought provoking imagery. When I create I always share a piece of myself and my emotions, like a stamp that says "hey this is how I'm feeling." I adore the close up details of the human body and will often opt for a hugged crop., however I like to pull back when the location deserves some recognition. My editing style is more desaturated with muted highlights and deep blacks. I like to play with haze and grain for a more dreamy and film-esque feeling.
I believe that we are all naturally stunning and have no reason to feel shame for our bodies. So with that in mind, I do not modify bodies, airbrush skin, or edit out anything natural like stretch marks, cellulite, wrinkles, moles, freckles, rolls, scars etc. I will NEVER make you thinner, so don't ask.
I may do light skin smoothing to even shadows and skin tones, and edit out small blemishes like pimples or cat scratches though. I will never ask you to shave or alter your every-day appearance if that doesn't align with who you are. Just show up as you are and how you want to be celebrated.
